Writing in a group
So for our first document we are writing in a group. I have to say I am not really a fan. Before I give my reasons why though I'd like to first point out the positive aspects of it. For one, it does help students get to know each other. I find that in academic situatiuons, complete strangers are less likely to reach out to each other if they need help. This gives people a chance to break the ice and get to know each other, which facilitates group stdy sessions and even friendships that can extend beyond the classroom. However, from my personal point of view, I don't like to rely on other people for a portion of my grade or even for my schedule. I like to be in complete control of the events going on in my life, so I have never been keen on group work. If Ihave a project I can set my own timeline and know that I will get it done when it needs to be done. Writing in a group though you have to plan around other peoples schedules, writing styles, dedication to the work, willingness to be punctual, etc. I don't find myself trusting enough in other people to get what they need done when they need it done.

My Online Image...
In today's day and age, a persons online image almost defines them. From the sites you browse on your phone to what you say on a scial network, it's becoming increasingly easy to learn even the most intimate details of someone's life without even meeting them. For this reason, I tend to keep my online presence as minimalistic as possible. For example, I haven't updated the information on my facebook in almost 5 years and I rarely post a status. I only send work or school related emails and rarely surf the internet on my phone or personal computer. After I left my job with the NSA, I became very paranoid about anything and everything related to the internet. However, it's not a healthy habit of mine. Trying to remain off the grid makes it difficult for potential employers to find a source outside of a resume or interview to get a good opinion of you, and in this job market you need every advantage you can get.
In summary, I'm a paranoid person and try to keep my online image to a minimum.

Peach- An Introduction
My nae is Matthew Peach. I am a student in the PTA program right now. I chose this program because I work with my family in our physical therapy staffing agency and I really want to get in to the clinical side of the business. Before I came to Florida, I was a cryptologic linguist in the Air Force working for the NSA for two years. I am fluent in Farsi, Dari, and Tajiki and have a small reading knowledge of Pashto and Arabic.
